About the service
Mobile Dastarkhwan Program is a community-based food outreach programme where freshly prepared food is distributed using mobile food distribution units set up for this purpose. Teams, as part of Saylani Mobile Food Outreach, visit under-served communities, construction sites, hospitals, disaster sites and other public gathering areas to serve nutritious, free meals. Healthy, high quality food is prepared in accordance with strict hygiene and food safety rules, providing beneficiaries with food in a manner that's dignified and respectful to them, so they don’t lose their dignity.
Saylani Mobile Dastarkhwan helps reach communities where regular food assistance is not possible, alongside the Saylani Dastarkhwan centres of operation. The program is used to address emergencies or to feed people in low-income communities, and it helps to alleviate hunger while improving the well-being of the community.
